Kyoto University Digitalization Hub of the Humanities, Social and Cognitive Sciences KUDH Basics: LaTeX Workshop

At last year’s public symposium of the Graduate School of Letters and the Faculty of Letters of Kyoto University, the Center for the Inter Humanities provided an opportunity to discuss Digital Humanities, a field that looks to the joining and collaboration of the humanities and computing. It was an opportunity to think about the challenges of the Digital Humanities, which are approaching the point where they can be regarded as a basic literacy for researchers, and the education that is required for this.

We are pleased to announce a five-day workshop entitled “Kyoto University Digitization Hub of the Humanities, Social and Cognitive Sciences (KUDH) Basics”, which aims to enable first-time students to practice using digital tools. “The workshop will be held over five days. In this workshop, four lecturers will talk about how to use LaTeX to create, typeset, and edit complex papers and journals easily and beautifully. There will also be a follow-up session to answer questions from each participant. We look forward to your active participation.
