14th International Conference

of Historical Geographers

23–27 August 2009, Kyoto, Japan

Publication of Proceedings of 14th ICHG

1st October 2009

Dear Colleagues

Thank you indeed for your participating in the 14th ICHG 2009 KYOTO in last August. We were very pleased to have 265 participants and 204 paper presentations from 30 countries.

The authors who presented their papers actually at the conference are invited to publish their papers in Proceedings of 14th ICHG. The proceedings will be published in the spring of 2010 by Kyoto University Press.

Two pages (182 mm x 257 mm / 1 page) are provided for each paper presentation (see a sample PDF). Manuscripts should be written in the Microsoft Word (template for MS Word 2003) or a text file within 1,000 words in maximum including headings, figures, tables, and notes. Although the organizing committee encourages the authors to submit a manuscript for two pages, a short text similar to the abstract already written for the conference is also acceptable.

If excerpts from other copyrighted works are included in a manuscript, the author(s) must obtain written permission from the copyright owners and credit the source(s) in the article. The organizing committee cannot provide funds to pay for permission.

All manuscripts should be submitted to Kyoto University Press by e-mail: saeki_at_kyoto-up.or.jp (*Replace _at_ with @)

A hard copy of the proceedings will be sent to each author without any extra fee who has already completed the registration of the conference. Please specify your postal address when you submit the manuscript.

The organizing committee does look forward to receiving your manuscript soon. We have to publish the proceedings and complete all procedures within the Japanese fiscal year. We will be able to wait for your paper until exactly the end of November 2009.

With best wishes,

Akihiro Kinda

Director

ICHG 2009 Organizing Committee
